Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information processed by Flux when you browse, install, access, register for, subscribe to, stream through, communicate with, or otherwise interact with Flux products and services. This includes the Flux apps for iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS, related account systems, support workflows, websites that link to this policy, and any co-branded or white-labeled Flux service experience that expressly incorporates this notice.
This policy does not govern products, services, applications, websites, devices, operating systems, app stores, payment processors, smart TV platforms, or content offerings operated by third parties unless they expressly state that Flux is the controller for the information being processed. Third-party services, including Apple and content partners, may maintain separate privacy policies and notices.
Information We Collect
Flux collects information directly from you, automatically from your use of the service, from your device and browser or app environment, from Apple and other platform providers, and from vendors, partners, and service providers that help us operate the service.
The categories of information we may collect include:
Account and authentication information, such as your email address, display name, account credentials, authentication or session tokens, Sign in with Apple relay email or identity assertions, and optional profile details such as an avatar URL or phone number that you choose to provide.Subscription and transaction information, such as subscription tier, product identifiers, entitlement state, renewal or expiration status, purchase state, signed StoreKit transaction or receipt-validation data, refund or revocation status signals, and limited billing metadata supplied by Apple or another payment processor. Flux generally does not receive your full payment card number when you subscribe through Apple.Playback and interaction information, such as channels or titles viewed, watch progress or history when sync is enabled, favorites, recent channels, feature interactions, playback session timestamps, buffering and startup measurements, playback failures, bitrate and quality telemetry, subtitle and audio selections, and diagnostics or troubleshooting events that you choose to share.Device, app, and network information, such as device type, device model, device name, app version, operating system version, language settings, time zone, stable device or session identifiers, IP address, network type, and other connectivity or service-health signals relevant to playback quality, fraud prevention, device registration, or guest-preview enforcement.Customer support and communications information, such as message contents, issue descriptions, support metadata, and records of correspondence with Flux, including account email or user ID when those are included or attached to help resolve the issue.Rights management, security, and anti-abuse information, such as device registration records, active stream or session counts, login and authentication history, entitlement validation events, guest preview usage records, suspected misuse signals, and security logs.Information received from Apple, service providers, or content partners, such as App Store purchase status, Sign in with Apple assertions, hosting, authentication, content-delivery, and service-operation events generated on our behalf, and content metadata supplied by licensors or distributors.
Information We Generally Do Not Seek
Flux does not intentionally request sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for a specific lawful purpose and we clearly explain that need at the time of collection. We ask that you do not send highly sensitive information through open support channels unless specifically requested through a secure process.
Flux does not knowingly use in-app viewing activity to sell personal information for money or to build third-party advertising profiles for cross-context behavioral advertising. If local law defines certain analytics, audience measurement, or partner disclosures differently, you may still have rights to opt out or request restrictions as described below.
How We Use Information
Flux uses personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, improve, support, and lawfully monetize the service. Our uses may include:
Providing account registration, authentication, sign-in, entitlement checks, and access to subscription-gated experiences, including email and Sign in with Apple flows.Delivering live and on-demand streaming, restoring playback, syncing watch progress, favorites, and supported preferences across compatible Apple devices, and enabling accessibility and language selections.Processing subscriptions, validating StoreKit transactions and entitlements, restoring purchases, preventing duplicate or unauthorized access, handling billing support, and enforcing device or concurrent-stream limits.Providing customer support, responding to requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and communicating about service status, account actions, legal notices, or security matters.Collecting service-critical playback reliability metrics to keep Flux working, and collecting additional optional diagnostics only when you enable diagnostics sharing in the app.Protecting viewers, partners, licensors, and Flux by detecting fraud, abuse, credential misuse, piracy risks, content rights violations, suspicious activity, and violations of our Terms of Service.Complying with contractual obligations, legal requirements, law enforcement requests, tax and accounting obligations, sanctions screening, and internal governance controls.Creating aggregated, statistical, or de-identified insights that no longer reasonably identify an individual and using those insights for product, business, and operational purposes.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, Flux may rely on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you; compliance with legal obligations; protection of vital interests; our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and defending the service; and your consent where required.
If we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time for future processing by using in-app controls, device settings, unsubscribe tools, or by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
How We Share Information
Flux does not disclose personal information more broadly than reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. We may share information in the following circumstances:
With service providers and processors that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, authentication, customer support, observability, analytics, content delivery, storage, security, fraud prevention, and communications tools. With Apple, app stores, payment processors, and platform operators to validate purchases, manage subscriptions, process in-app purchase events, honor account settings, or comply with platform requirements. With content licensors, channel providers, distributors, rights holders, and business partners where necessary to report usage, enforce territorial rights, verify entitlements, investigate misuse, or satisfy contractual reporting obligations. With corporate affiliates, advisors, auditors, insurers, and professional service providers that support lawful business operations and confidentiality-protected functions. In connection with an actual or proposed merger, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction, subject to lawful safeguards. When required or permitted by law, court order, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, and security of Flux, users, partners, or the public. With your direction or consent, including where you choose to interact with integrations, support channels, or external links.
Apple, App Store, and Platform-Specific Disclosures
When you use Flux through Apple devices or the App Store, Apple may independently collect and process information about downloads, purchases, subscriptions, family sharing, device settings, diagnostics, Sign in with Apple, and other platform interactions under Apple’s own privacy terms. Apple is not responsible for Flux’s privacy practices, and Flux is not responsible for Apple’s independent processing.
If you subscribe through Apple’s in-app purchase system, Flux may receive limited receipt and subscription status information needed to determine entitlements, restore purchases, manage access, and respond to support requests. Payment card data is generally handled by Apple and not by Flux.
Flux may request platform permissions only when needed for a legitimate feature or functionality. If a permission is optional and you decline it, some features may be limited. If Flux later introduces additional platform permissions, prompts and purpose strings will be presented at the time of request in accordance with Apple platform rules.
App Privacy Nutrition Labels
In accordance with Apple’s App Store requirements, Flux declares the following data practices in its privacy manifests and App Store privacy nutrition labels:
User ID: Linked to Identity = Yes; Used for Tracking = No; Purpose = App FunctionalityEmail Address: Linked to Identity = Yes; Used for Tracking = No; Purpose = App FunctionalityProduct Interaction: Linked to Identity = No; Used for Tracking = No; Purpose = App Functionality, AnalyticsPerformance Data: Linked to Identity = No; Used for Tracking = No; Purpose = App FunctionalityPurchase History: Linked to Identity = Yes; Used for Tracking = No; Purpose = App Functionality
Flux declares that it does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for the purposes of advertising or advertising measurement. Flux does not use any tracking domains.
The list above reflects the core categories currently declared in Flux’s privacy manifests and App Store Connect disclosures. Certain infrequent, optional information that you choose to submit, such as support content or optional profile details, may be processed only when you provide it.
Flux accesses the UserDefaults API only for declared app-functionality reasons, such as storing user preferences, playback resume state, recent channels, favorite state, and cached settings.
Streaming, Rights Management, and Service Integrity
Because Flux is a premium live and VOD streaming service and offers limited guest-preview access, we may process certain information to administer content access, protect licensed content, and maintain the security and integrity of the platform.
This may include IP address, device identifiers, device registrations, active stream or session data, signed transaction data, DRM-related events, entitlement validation, preview-limit enforcement, concurrency limits, abuse detection, playback anomaly monitoring, and enforcement actions designed to reduce fraud, piracy, credential sharing, service interference, or unauthorized commercial use.
Where lawful, Flux may suspend or restrict access when we reasonably believe use of the service violates contractual, security, content-rights, or legal requirements.
Analytics, Diagnostics, and Cookies or Similar Technologies
Flux apps use local device storage, UserDefaults, Keychain storage, iCloud key-value sync, logs, or similar technologies to remember settings, preserve sessions, sync certain preferences across compatible Apple devices, measure service reliability, prevent abuse, and improve performance. Related web properties may use cookies or similar technologies where applicable.
Where required by law, Flux will seek consent before using non-essential technologies. Certain essential technologies are necessary for authentication, stream delivery, security, entitlement enforcement, preview-limit enforcement, localization, accessibility, or other core service functions and may remain active even if optional diagnostics or similar non-essential features are disabled.
Flux separates service-critical playback reliability metrics from optional diagnostics. Service-critical quality-of-experience events needed to operate the service may be collected regardless of the diagnostics toggle; additional optional diagnostics are collected only when you enable Send Diagnostics in the app.
You may also control certain technologies through device settings, browser settings, cookie tools, privacy controls, or in-app preferences. Blocking all technologies may affect functionality.
International Data Transfers
Flux may store and process information in the United States and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Because Flux serves an international audience, your information may be transferred across borders to jurisdictions that may not provide the same level of legal protection as your home country.
Where required, Flux uses appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, which may include contractual protections, transfer impact reviews, technical and organizational safeguards, and other lawful transfer mechanisms recognized under applicable law.
Data Retention
Flux retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your account, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, meet legal and regulatory obligations, prevent fraud, protect the platform, and preserve appropriate business and security records.
Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the data, whether the information is needed for active service delivery, the sensitivity of the information, the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which it was collected, and any applicable legal, tax, accounting, content-rights, litigation, backup, or security requirements.
When you delete your account, Flux will remove or disable the primary Flux-side account record and associated personal information that Flux is not required to keep. Some subscription, security, support, fraud-prevention, dispute, or backup records may remain for limited periods where necessary or permitted by law.
When information is no longer required, Flux will delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it in accordance with applicable law and operational constraints.
Security
Flux maintains administrative, technical, physical, and contractual safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, misuse, and destruction. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secure credential handling, environment separation, logging, least-privilege access, vendor controls, incident response processes, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
No security program can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials, using a strong unique password where applicable, protecting your devices, and notifying Flux promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
Children’s Privacy
Flux is not directed to children under the age at which independent digital consent is permitted in the relevant jurisdiction, and Flux does not knowingly collect personal information from children in a manner prohibited by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Flux unlawfully, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Parents, guardians, and schools remain responsible for supervising minors’ use of devices, accounts, profiles, and streaming content.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction and subject to legal limitations, you may have rights to request access to personal information, know what categories of information we collect and disclose, correct inaccurate information, delete information, obtain a copy of portable information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain marketing, and appeal certain decisions related to privacy requests.
Account Deletion
You may delete your Flux account at any time from the in-app Account screen by selecting Delete Account. On some platforms, related account-management flows are also linked from Settings.
Deleting a Flux account deletes or disables the Flux-side account record and associated account data that Flux is not required to keep, subject to legal, contractual, security, billing, dispute, and backup retention obligations.
Deleting your Flux account does not cancel subscriptions billed through Apple. If you subscribed through the App Store, cancel separately through your Apple account subscription settings. You may also request account deletion by contacting admin@persianflux.com.
Managing Your Preferences
You may also be able to control certain information directly through the service, your account settings, device settings, app permissions, subscription controls, or app store account settings. For example, you may manage diagnostic sharing, playback settings, account sign-in state, and subscription status through Flux or Apple interfaces as applicable.
